Safety Policy

LEPROCONS is a Vietnamese construction company that taking part into the construction of several projects of variety Owners with the good reputation not only on quality, also on the safety policy applied to the job site.  We wish to present hereunder our policy on safety that help us gained the recognized awards from the Clients:

1. WORK SAFETY TO MANPOWERS:

• Manpowers under the supervision of LEPROCONS, prior to start working at the site,  shall be propagated and instructed with site regulations and work safety regulations.
• Visitors  can only permitted to enter the site with suitable helmet.
• Warnings and dangerous signs will be placed around dangerous areas to remind everybody in avoidance of accidents.
• Following to the requirements within working area, workers shall be equipped with safety equipment such as:  shoes, safety glasses, glooves, belts….
• Working clothes must be steady. Workers will be provided with LEPROCONS safety uniform.
• In case of working at two or higher vertical stages at the same time, safety grilles must be provided beneath working position to protect workers against accidents.
• Workers are only permitted to work at location appointed by Site management board.  Do not trespass the restricted areas without permission.  
• Workers can only use equipment and tools after being trained properly.
• Worker/s should advise the safety officer accordingly when seeing any unusual or unsafe signals or situations. Safety officer shall apply suitable method to prevent or to overcome accidents.

2. STIPULATIONS FOR ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTE :

• Any one in drunk or to be addicted to drugs ought to be sacked out  of site.
• It is not permitted to smoke inside project  boundary during working period.

3. SITE SAFETY AND HYGIENE :

• It is prohibited to stay outside the restricted areas.
• Do not let garbages on site. Garbages and wastes must be put in place in accordance with stipulations of Site management board.  
• Wastes & garbages  and obstacles must be cleaned and moved out at the end of every working day.
• Site’s roads and pathways should be in clean and dry situation.
• Execution plan is always in steady arrangement. Provide temporary drainage system to assure the site always in clean conditions.

4. SAFETY REGULATION TO CHEMICALS:

• During execution of work, person in charge must be strictly adhesive to the instructions of manufacturers/suppliers. Whenever chemical still be left after using, it must be reserved in complying with instructions from manufacturers.
• All workers in contact with chemical must wear suitable mask, glooves and safe glasses as well. Should any noxious chemical be fell out, the spilling area is required to clean carefully.

5. SAFETY REGULATIONS TO TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

• All tools and equipment shall be checked and calibrated by the specialist organizations. It shall be in good and safe conditions for operation.
• All users or operators should be instructed and trained properly or have experienced in using that kinds of tools or equipment.

6. REGULATIONS TO UPPER WORKING POSITIONS:

• All workers in high working positions should wear safety belt.
• At dangerous positions, it is required to have  warnings, grilles or safety corridors. Provision of  barriers and signages to walkways within site area.

7. REGULATIONS TO  SCAFFOLDS:

• All scaffolds shall be erected vertically and firmly,  and must be checked carefully prior to put in operation.
• Scaffolds must be braced both vertically and horizontally into the fixed structure
• Workers working in scaffold must wear and tie off safety belt  into the scaffold at any place that hasnot got safety corridors or working plaftform.
• Walkways under scaffold must be provided safety barriers around.
• It is required to pay attention to the scaffold which is putting near the excavated pits or  walkways. To provide reinforcement method to prevent the collapse and breakdown of       
  scaffold.
• During working period, should any damage of scaffolds be found, worker in charge must stop working and advise the safety officer for recovery.

8. ELECTRICAL SAFETY :

• All elecctrical equipment must be complying with currently standards.
• It is required to cover electric wires with safety and anti static materials.
• All electrical equipment and tools to be found in bad and unsafe condition must be advised to the safety officer for recovery accordingly.
• All electric wires to provide power source must be put in dried and high position to avoid  contact with structure within site area.
• In case that cables can not be put in high position, it must be put inside the steel  pipes or in cable ladders to burry underground.

9. FIRE PROTECTION:

• To provide powder and CO2 extinguishers at dangerous area that can easily catch fire.
• Workers at site must be conscious and prudent to avoid the ability of fire catching around their working area.
• Workers themselves have to use existing extinguisher and other equipment to stamp out the fire when happening.
• Should site staff can not stamp out the fire, they shall call for the help of local fire brigade in the soonest time.
• When it is required to burn out the garbage, there  must have a secure method to avoid fire spreading.  This work can only be done at the specified places.
• High pressure equipment, air compressor, air- welders …..  to be used at site must obtain validity operation license.

10. ACCIDENTS AND FIRST-AID WORKS:

• To provide a first-aid station at site with enough medicines and others which could help to treat the injurers in emergency cases.
• Person in charge of first-aid work should be introduced to all staff at site.
• When accident happens, workers working near the injurer must try their best to move the injured worker away from accidental area or inform person in charge of first-aid work to promtly curement.
